Wow, we have had some cold weather the last few days. Today it is -21 with the wind chill, so be sure to dress in warm clothes if you are spending any time outside. Although we have had cold weather, the sun has been shining and the blue flags keep flying!

Hi students at Peden Hill! Way to observe the differences between BC air quality and the quality in Beijing, China. The scale for China is a bit different than ours – it goes from 0 to 500. But you’re right, 300 is a hazardous level!

We are celebrating yet another blue flag day and at the same time we are very thankful to live in Prince George. Beijing’s air quality is at dangerous levels, a news report stated that the Air Quality Index was at 300!!!!!

Another blue flag day today! Our Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) measure is 3. That means everyone should get outside and enjoy some fresh air.

Good news story…we have 2 new students at our school that have asthma. They check our flag each day and are very excited to see a blue flag flying because it means that they get to play outside at recess and lunch break.

Today is +2, but feels a little cooler at -2 and would be an excellent day to hit some cross country ski trails. We have two great trail systems in the Prince George area, Otway and Tabor Hill.

It is overcast and +2 today, with the possibility of some rain to melt some of the snow from the weekend. It would be a great day to get outside and build a snowman or snow fort.
